Our Heritage.......

Gospel Music is about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all who will hear it!  Whether serving as Worship Leader in your church service or delivering a concert on the main stage, it is through the performance of this great music that Mark has chosen to tell the world the good news!  For the last 33 years he has been traveling and singing.  For 11 of those years he was the bass singer with the highly acclaimed Crossmen Quartet from Morgantown, KY.  For 17 years prior to his time with the Crossmen, he sang with the Veterans Quartet from Leitchfield, KY.  Mark is a graduate of Grayson County High School, Kentucky State University, the University of Kentucky, the Stamps-Baxter School of Music, and the Piano Technicians Academy.  He is an accomplished singer, emcee, songwriter, producer, musician, radio promoter, and a Certified Piano Technician. Mark and Rebecca Flener Mudd have been married for 24 years. They have one son, Jacob, who is 20. The musical heritage runs deep through their family. Both Mark and Becky's fathers traveled for many years singing quartet music. Both of Mark's grandfathers were bass singers and actually sang together! Rebecca's father sang for many years with the popular Travelers Quartet from Morgantown, KY. Mark's late father  sang with several different groups over the years such as the Chancellors, Harvesters, Gospel Edition, and Veterans Quartet. The Veterans Quartet had 10 consecutive Top 80 songs on the Singing News Charts in the late 1990's, all songs on which Mark and his Dad sang together.  Larry (Mark's late father) is a member of the Edmonson County, KY Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

When Rebecca and Jacob are able to join Mark on stage, they add that wonderful "Family Harmony" that everyone loves.  Rebecca sings alto and is a spectacular pianist and organist.  She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Master's Degree in History Education and a retired public school world history teacher.  Since 1980, she has served faithfully as Sunday School teacher, church organist, and youth leader at Aberdeen Baptist Church.

Jacob sings lead and baritone and is beloved by people everywhere he sings!  He is a very busy 20 year-old Western Kentucky University Junior and serves as Special Music Coordinator at Aberdeen Baptist Church.  Jacob loves to hunt and fish in his spare time.  He served the Summer of 2016 as a Staffer at Crossings Camps at Jonathan Creek on KY Lake and has returned for the Summer of 2017.  He also works in his dad's piano business.  His future plans include becoming a lawyer and a judge.
Together, all three voices blend to form the sound of the"Mark Mudd Family."
